Two things worth knowing
before you compare.
Only the Micromax 8500 is certified for PFAS. It is tested and certified by the Water Quality Association to NSF/ANSI 53, which is the standard covering PFOA and PFOS. The Micromax 7000 is an excellent drinking water system and is certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 58 and 372 — but it is not certified to 53 and it is not certified for PFAS. If PFAS is the reason you are looking, the 8500 is the system.
A certification is a claim somebody else checked. Every certification listed on this page can be verified independently at wqa.org by searching the model number. We would rather you check than take our word for it.
If your homeowners association needs paperwork before an install, the brochure covers the size and type questions the committee is allowed to ask. We supply the rest of the packet — insurance, workers’ compensation, business registration and a photo of a finished install — with the quote.
