Want more than a glass of cold water? Add an instant hot water dispenser for tea and coffee in seconds, or an instant chilled tap — both run on the same purified reverse-osmosis water, at the same sink.
Certified purification at the tap
Reverse osmosis is the most thorough way to purify drinking water at home. It pushes your water through a semipermeable membrane that blocks dissolved contaminants down to the molecular level — things a pitcher or fridge filter can’t touch — then delivers clean, crisp water to a dedicated faucet at your kitchen sink. It’s ideal for drinking, coffee, ice, cooking and baby formula.
Our Puronics Micromax systems are independently tested and WQA Gold Seal certified to reduce contaminants that matter to Florida homeowners: lead, arsenic, nitrate, chromium and cysts — and the flagship 8500 is also certified to reduce PFAS (PFOS and PFOA, the βforever chemicalsβ) and emerging compounds like BPA. That’s certified, third-party proof — not a marketing claim.
Reverse osmosis pairs perfectly with a whole-home softener: the softener protects your plumbing and appliances at every tap, and the RO perfects the water you actually drink. We’ll help you decide between our tank, tankless and flagship options based on your water and your kitchen.
Reverse osmosis FAQs
What does reverse osmosis remove?
RO reduces dissolved solids and a long list of contaminants that carbon alone can’t — depending on the system, that includes chlorine taste, lead, nitrate, cysts, arsenic, fluoride, and (on our Micromax 8500) PFAS/PFOA-PFOS and VOCs. Each system is independently certified to NSF/ANSI standards for exactly what it’s rated to reduce.
Do I need a softener too?
Not required, but recommended on hard water. A whole-home softener protects the RO membrane from scale so it lasts longer and tastes better. Many homeowners do both — softener for the house, RO for drinking.
Which reverse osmosis system is right for me?
It depends on your water and your goals — everyday value (Micromax 7000), maximum reduction including PFAS (Micromax 8500), or space-saving (tankless). Start with a free in-home water test and we’ll match it to what you actually have.
Is a “drinking water system” the same as reverse osmosis?
Yes. “Drinking water system,” “RO system” and “reverse osmosis” all describe the same under-sink setup that purifies the water at your kitchen tap. People search for it different ways, so you’ll see both names on this site — it’s one product.
