RO Drinking Water for Parrish, Well or Municipal
Drinking water quality in Parrish depends heavily on which supply your home is on. Homes on municipal water deal with chloramine taste carried through from the county’s Lake Manatee treatment process, while well households drawing from the Floridan Aquifer can see naturally higher TDS and mineral content that shows up as a heavier taste straight from the tap.

Parrish reverse osmosis
Reverse osmosis drinking water
in Parrish.
We have installed more than 70 water systems in Parrish, including in Bella Lago, Prosperity Lakes and North River Ranch. The same local tech who tests your water installs the system. No subcontractors.
Reverse Osmosis Handles Both Situations
The Puronics Micromax 7000 filters water through multiple stages right at the point of use, reducing chlorine, chloramine, and TDS so what comes out of the dedicated faucet is noticeably crisper and better-tasting, whether your starting water came from the county line or a well pump. For well homes specifically, pairing RO with upstream filtration for iron or sulfur gives the membrane a cleaner supply to work with, which extends its life.
- Puronics Micromax 7000 — under-sink RO for drinking and cooking water on either water source
- Puronics Hydronex iGen — recommended upstream companion for well homes with iron or sulfur
Across Parrish we’ve now installed 80+ systems, covering both municipal and well households, which is why we know which upstream-and-RO combinations tend to work best depending on where your home sits. A membrane paired correctly with the right pretreatment lasts longer and needs fewer service calls down the line.
What is actually in Parrish’s drinking water
Your supply comes from Manatee County Utilities, disinfected with chloramine at 3.3 ppm. TTHM 47.1 ppb against an 80 limit, radium 226/228 at 0.69 and 0.78 against a limit of 5, and no PFAS detected across 29 compounds.
The thing worth understanding before you buy: a whole-home softener and an under-sink reverse osmosis unit are certified for almost entirely different lists. The softener handles hardness across the whole house. The RO handles the dissolved-solids side at one tap — lead, nitrate, arsenic, chromium-6, cysts, TDS. Neither covers the other’s list, which is why we fit both rather than pretend one does everything.
Certification is worth checking rather than trusting: reverse osmosis is NSF/ANSI 58, PFAS reduction is NSF/ANSI 53, and NSF/ANSI 372 means the parts are lead-free — it is not a lead removal claim, and quotes misuse it constantly.
Locally: Parrish is building fast, and a builder’s softener loop is sometimes a genuine tie-in and sometimes two capped stubs with no drain in reach. We look at what is actually there.
Figures are from Manatee County Utilities’s own published water quality report. Where a utility does not publish something, we say so rather than estimate it. The water test is free and carries no obligation.

What does a reverse osmosis drinking system remove?
RO reduces a wide range of dissolved contaminants — PFAS, lead, nitrate, fluoride, sodium, and the dissolved solids behind taste and odor. In Parrish, chloramine and moderate hardness makes better-tasting drinking water a common upgrade. It installs under the kitchen sink.
Is RO better than a fridge or pitcher filter in Parrish?
A pitcher or fridge filter mainly improves taste; RO removes a far broader list down to a much smaller particle size and gives filtered water on demand from its own faucet. For Parrish drinking water, RO is the step up.
Does reverse osmosis remove PFAS?
Yes — and we can point at a certification instead of just saying so. Our Micromax 8500 is certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for PFOA and PFOS reduction, which is a third-party tested claim rather than a marketing line. The Micromax 7000 is certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 58 and 372 but not for PFAS, so if PFAS is the reason you are calling, the 8500 is the one to ask about. One caveat: the EPA notes that current certifications do not yet show a filter reduces PFAS all the way down to the new federal limits. A free in-home test tells us what your Parrish water is actually dealing with.
