Manatee disinfects with chloramine. It is what you smell in the shower, and carbon alone does not hold it for long.
The county tested 29 PFAS compounds and found none. If you want certified reduction anyway — plus lead, arsenic and fluoride — it goes at the kitchen tap.
On a private well? Rural and older Parrish homes often are. Different problem — iron, sulfur, bacteria and pH — so we test what is actually in it first, then build the sequence, usually air or chlorine injection ahead of the softener.
