How hard is Longboat Key water?

That is hard by any standard, and it is roughly double the figure some quotes in this area still use. A unit sized for eight grains on sixteen-grain water regenerates twice as often and wears out early.
Does Longboat Key water have chloramine in it?
Yes. Manatee County disinfects with chloramine and reports a residual of 3.3 ppm, range ND to 5.3, against a federal maximum of 4.0 ppm.
